Product Description

GF-8634 field trunk amplifier is mainly used for CATV, which can transmit TV image signal, digital TV signal, telephone voice signal and data (or compressed data) signal in two-way trunk line transmission. Instructions for use:

· First select the options in the machine according to your needs, for example, choose two distribution outputs or one branch output as appropriate.

· Before use, you should use the instrument to test the forward signal level entering the amplifier, and make a record. (You can also connect the input end of the amplifier to the system and test the level of the input detection port. At this time, add 10dB that is Is the input terminal level), then connect the amplifier to the system, use the instrument to test the output terminal (similarly test the output test port), adjust the attenuation and equalization in the machine until the requirements are met; then fasten the cable to the F on the head.

· Under normal circumstances, the level of the input port is about 72dBuV, and the output level is determined according to needs.

· When using the centralized power supply mode, first check the input voltage with a voltmeter, insert the voltage control switch on the power board to the corresponding gear, and do not work under too high or too low voltage for a long time.

·Use of over-current control switch: when a socket of a port is inserted, it means that the port is in an over-current state; when it is not inserted, it means that the port is no current flowing.

· When replacing the fuse, you must first disconnect the power supply, remove the fuse holder, take out the broken fuse, and replace it with the same type of fuse.

Common troubleshooting

1. The power indicator of the amplifier does not light up: first check whether the fuse on the power supply board is broken or has poor contact. If it is broken, replace it with a device of the same model; if it is abnormal, check whether the power supply port and the cable are connected properly.

2. If the indicator light in the amplifier is on but there is no output level or the output level is low, please check whether the input and output radio frequency connection is reliable; whether the two-way filter, equalizer, attenuator and other plug-ins are plugged in.

3. It is best to adjust the input level of the amplifier to the nominal input level to ensure that the amplifier is working.

4. If the machine still does not work normally after the above simple inspection, please contact your local dealer or professional for repair.

Precautions for use:

·When using this equipment, the enclosure should be well grounded, especially in areas where the power grid is severely struck by lightning, and reliable grounding must be carried out. The grounding resistance should not exceed 4 ohms.

·The radio frequency connector should be connected reliably. When the centralized power supply is used, failure to connect reliably may cause poor power supply.

·The input and output power supply ports are equipped with current control switches. For ports that do not require overcurrent, the short circuit should be removed and the power supply should be disconnected to avoid loss.

·When the user debugs the amplifier, there should be an isolation device to avoid damage to the test instrument;

·When the amplifier fuse is burned out, it should not be replaced at will. The power supply should be disconnected to find out the cause, and the fuse of the same specification should be replaced after troubleshooting. The power supply should be disconnected at this time.

·The unused port should be connected to a 75 ohm load. Prevent interference caused by high-frequency signal radiation.

·Each port should be waterproofed, the amplifier should be aligned up and down, and the screws should be tightened. Each port connector should be waterproofed, for example, use a waterproof cover or waterproof tape.

Warning: Be careful of electric shock. You must use sockets with safety signs. The sockets and connectors should be placed in places that cannot be easily accessed; disconnect the power supply when not in use for a long time.

      ! Keep away from humidity. When working in the field, be sure to tighten the screws to ensure that water does not enter the amplifier.

Non-professional technicians are not allowed to open the enclosure for repairs with power; they cannot touch the amplifier or perform repairs with power on the field in rainy days.
